House of Sound is a modern music school with an innovative approach to education. We provide a holistic musical program that empowers students to succeed in reaching their musical goals and interests. Our practical instruction spans a wide range of musical skills and styles, allowing our students to discover music in their own time and in their own way, through craft, creativity, and solid musical foundations. These are skills that students can use for their entire lives, both on the stage and in their everyday lives.
House of Sound Music was founded in 2012, ten years after Jessica Callen taught her first private music lesson. Her eclectic background as a harpist, songwriter, and vocalist combined with conservatory training allowed Jessica to develop her private studio and unique teaching approach. This led her to form a school that embodied her teaching philosophy: To make learning music fun and approachable for everyone and to provide students with a solid foundation that allows them to make music in their own way, enhancing their everyday lives.
Several years later her husband, Dan Castellani, joined the school, bringing his wide experience as a multi-instrumentalist, composer, audio engineer and college professor of music. Together they are growing House of Sound Music into a music school for the modern day, encompassing all styles of music backed by a solid lessons program, the use of technology to improve quality of education, and, most importantly, a passion for music education.
